Franz Martens

Franz and his wife Kristie moved to Berlin in 2017 and joined CrossWay shortly after. Earnestly desiring to authentically experience the presence of God in his life, Franz pursued ministry hoping to discover God along the way. God graciously intervened through trials and suffering, and by grace showed Franz what a genuine relationship with Him looked and felt like. As a result, he sensed God calling him to help others enter into this same relationship. Franz’s calling into ministry is an invitation for him to fix his eyes on Jesus and simply follow Him (Hebrews 12:1-2).

Serving within the CrossWay community has allowed Franz to fulfill his calling to invite his brothers and sisters to put aside everything that stands in the way of following Jesus Christ and grow up into maturity with Him. This includes studying the Bible, enjoying fellowship with one another and multiplying spiritually through compelling others to believe in Jesus. He and Kristie are currently serving as the Potsdam Campus Church Planter.

Franz has received his B.A. in Multicultural Ministry and M.A. in Christian Counseling. Some of his favorite verses are John 15:5, 16-17, Galatians 2:20, 5:1, Hebrews 12:1-2, and 2 Peter 1:3-4.
