What To Expect
When you visit you can expect a warm welcome by our friendly congregation. Because of the international makeup of our congregation, we feel our services are a picture of what heaven will look like. We begin with a welcome, song service, prayer, and scripture reading. After that comes the focal point of our service a biblical sermon. We usually conclude the service with another song and benediction.
We meet at the old US Army Chapel at Hüttenweg 46 in Dahlem. The building is on Berlin's list of memorials and a protected building, because of its historical significance to the city.
Our dress is casual although occasionally some folks prefer to dress a little more formally. However you decide to dress, you are welcome.
Yes, our services are open to anyone who would like to attend, we warmly invite you to come and worship with us.
While we have languages represented from around the world, our services take place in English with elements of German mixed throughout. We also offer translation services from English to German for those who are not as comfortable in the English language.
While there are some great German churches in Berlin, we also see the need for good English-speaking churches in our city as we are a crossroad to a world on the move. Our congregation is made up of expats, immigrants, and Germans, who enjoy worshipping in an international environment.
We are intentional about gospel proclamation at CrossWay and recognize that presenting Christ is of upmost importance. We believe the whole Bible is inspired, so we plan our series to hear from books in both the Old and New Testament. Our sermons are expository in nature and we do our best to let God's Word speak for itself.
We have worship leaders from all over the world, so our music is culturally diverse with a commitment to being theologically excellent. This makes our worship a lively mix of contemporary music, hymns and songs of praise in both English and German.
Yes, we offer children's church for children 6 years old to sixth grade. In addition, we have a preschool area available in the foyer in front of our fellowship hall during services and a quiet room at the back of our chapel for infants and nursing mothers.
The service starts at 14:45 with a time of fellowship and call to worship at 15:00. We normally are finished by 16:15 and encourage our congregation to stick around for our fellowship time with coffee and cookies afterwards.
We offer communion once a month, normally on the last Sunday of the month.
Can't make an afternoon service?
Join our sister church, Fellowship Potsdam at 10:30! This newly planted church in Potsdam provides a more intimate setting with biblical teaching, discussion, and fellowship.
